The Wurlitzer 850 and 850A jukeboxes were produced by the Wurlitzer Company in 1941.  They feature a striking Art-Deco inspired design, featuring sleek lines, curved edges and chrome accents. They can hold and play up to 24 78-rpm records.

Model 850 was the first produced featuring the peacock design and as demand grew they ended up producing the 850A with tulips and bubble tube stems.  The 850A is a rare machine and desirable for collectors.

The Wurlitzer 850 and 850A models feature illuminated glass panels and color-changing effects. the 850 was the only wurlitzer to use animation with polarized films creating color effets while they rotated.  They have a visible song selector mechanism that allows users to browse through the available song titles and make their selection. They are equipped with a built-in amplifier and speaker system for audio playback.

Designed to be used in public places, the Wurlitzer 850 and 850A jukeboxes feature a coin mechanism that accepts nickels or dimes, allowing users to pay for their song selection. They have a visible selector mechanism that allows users to see the records being selected and played.

Overall, the Wurlitzer 850 and 8950A jukeboxes were quite popular during their time.  Today they are highly sought after by collectors and jukebox enthusiasts.
