The AMI Model G is a popular jukebox that was produced by Automatic Musical Instruments (AMI) in 1955 and 1956. It retained the boxy design of the previous year, but moved the horn to a chrome embossed housing on top of the box. The G brochure featured four models, but the G-40 playing 78’s has not been seen by collectors yet. If you have this please reach out with pictures.
In 1955 the G was offered in G-80 that featured 80 selections and help 40 records, it was also offered as G120 and played 120 selections holding 60 records. In 1956 saw the G200 playing 200 selections holding 100 records, this was the introduction of the 900 series mechanism.
The Model G was also offered in many different cabinet color combinations, some are more rare than others.
Overall, the AMI Model G jukebox is a popular model, known for its unique design, good sound and relatively easy to work on mechanism.
