The AMI Model J is a classic jukebox that was produced by Automated Musical Instrument Company (AMI) in 1959. It was available in either mono or stereo configurations, but stereo required the optional external speakers for full effect.  There were three models with also manual and electric selector.

Manual select has a wheel to turn to choose the selection and a button to press to make it, this model does not support remote wallboxes.  Electric select has a multi key keyboard and does support wallbox operation without the need for a stepper.

Model J200 supported 200 selections and held 100 records, J120 held 60 records and supported 120 selections, and model J100 held 50 records and supported 100 selections.

The Model J features a glass panel on the front that lights up and illuminates the song selections or title cards. It uses a mechanical selection system, where users can make song selections by pressing corresponding buttons or keys on the front panel.

Designed to be used in public places, the Model J features a coin mechanism that can be adjusted accepts nickels or dimes, allowing users to purchase their song selection.

Overall, the AMI Model J jukebox is a highly popular model due to its stylish design, and remains highly desirable today.
