Rock-Ola 1458, 1462, 1465

The Rock-Ola 1458, 1462 and 1465 jukeboxes were produced by Rock-Ola in the 1950s. They have a distinctive eye-catching design with a combination of colorful plastics, chrome accents and a decorative grille on the front. The cabinet is typically made of wood.  The 1458 can hold up to 60 45-rpm records, the 1462 can hold up to 25 45-rpm records and the 1465 can hold up to 100 45-rpm records. They measure approximately 56 inches tall, 30 inches wide and 27 inches deep and weigh approximately 300 pounds.

The Rock-Ola 1458, 1462 and 1465 jukeboxes feature colorful lighting effects, including lighting behind the selection buttons, in the grille area and often illuminated panels. They use a mechanical selector mechanism with buttons or levers for song selection. Users press the appropriate button or lever to choose their desired song.  They are equipped with a high-quality sound system, including multiple speakers and amplifiers, to deliver clear and powerful audio playback.

Designed to be used in public places, the Rock-Ola 1458, 1462 and 1465 jukeboxes feature a coin mechanism that accepts nickels, dimes or quarters, allowing users to pay for their song selection. They also have a holder for title strips that display the name of the song and artist for each selection.
