Wurlitzer 1050 Nostalgia

The Wurlitzer 1050 Nostalgia jukebox was made in 1973 as a failed attempt to recapture the feel of the golden era of Wurlitzer.  It supported 100 selections (50 records) of 45 RPM Vinyl records.

The Wurlitzer 1050 Nostalgia jukebox features colorful aesthetics and stationary color sheets in its pilasters. It is equipped with built-in amplifiers and speaker system to play music. While the sound system is not as advanced as later models, it still provides a pleasant listening experience.  It was not a popular model with operators but the home collector liked its look and 45 vinyl capabilities.

After Wurlitzer ceased production a Mexican company continued to produced the model under the name Sonota.  These are considered less quality and not as valuable as original Wurlitzer models.  After that the tooling was sold to Rock-Ola who produced very limited numbers of them under the model 1000.

Most cabinet parts are interchangeable between the three models, some are only available in certain colors and some fasteners are different.  Wheels seem to be different spacing between the wurlitzer and Sonota.

Overall, the Wurlitzer 1050 Nostalgia jukebox, represents a classic era of jukebox production.
