Wurlitzer 2800, 2810

The Wurlitzer 2800 and 2810  jukeboxes were produced by the Wurlitzer Company in 1964.  They have a stylish design, with a chrome-trimmed cabinet and glass panels. Model 2800 has 200 selections and holds 100 records.  Model 2810 has 100 selections and holds 50 records.

This model year also was the first time a wallbox with speakers and volume control was offered.  The Wurlitzer 2800 and 2810 models feature decorative lighting including illuminated title strips. The record playing mechanism is visible through a opening on the top of the titleboard. They are equipped with a built-in amplifier and speaker system to deliver sound that is enhanced by Wurlitzer’s advanced sound technology.

Designed to be used in public places, the Wurlitzer 2800 and 2810 jukeboxes feature a coin mechanism that accepts nickels, dimes or quarters, allowing users to pay for their song selection. They use the Wurlitzer’s carousel system, allowing users to choose songs by pressing the corresponding buttons on the front panel.
