The Wurlitzer 3700 and 3800 Series jukeboxes were produced by the Wurlitzer Company in 1972,1973,and 1974. Some of the last jukeboxes made by the US Wurlitzer company. These were offered in 200 select, 100 select and 160 select versions. The models 3700 and 3800 are 200 select , 100 records. The models 3710 and 3810 are 100 select, 50 records. The models 3760 and 3860 are 160 select, 80 records. They supported both 33 and 45-rpm records.
The 1972/73 3700 featured blue panels and was also badged “Americana”, while the 3800 of 1974 was purple panels but still featured the Americana badging.
Designed to be used in public places, the Wurlitzer 3700 and 3800 Series jukeboxes feature a coin mechanism that accepts nickels, dimes or quarters, allowing users to pay for their song selection. They use the Wurlitzer’s carousel system, allowing users to choose songs by pressing the corresponding buttons on the front panel.
