The Wurlitzer 600, was designed to be a more economical option to the 500 in 1939. It has an attractive and stylish design featuring a wood cabinet with decorative veneers, chrome accents and a glass front panel that showcased the rotating keyboard mechanism. It can hold and play up to 24 78-rpm records with 24 selections.
ORiginally offered in the “rotary” key layout and also offered in the “keyboard” layout. The Wurlitzer 600 jukebox does not have any animated lighting features. IT still is an attractive jukebox of the era. It is equipped with a built-in amplifier and speaker system to deliver the audio output.
Designed to be used in public places, the Wurlitzer 600 jukebox features a coin mechanism that accepts nickels or dimes, allowing users to pay for their song selection. Once a selection is made, the mechanism would retrieve the chosen record and bring it to the turntable for playback.
